Gulf Shores Zoo

Gulf Shores Zoo

Looking for something fun to do? One of the most popular attractions and activities for families visiting Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, is the Little Zoo That Could. That was the name that was given to the Gulf Shores zoo by the team at Animal Planet when they filmed a documentary about how hard it was to relocate all of the animals when Hurrican Ivan hit in 2004. There are over 290 animals that call the Gulf Shores Zoo their home. There is also a petting zoo, reptile house and an aviary. You can see Tigers, Bears, Macaws, Llamas, Snakes and many other critters. During the summer months, they have a daily animal show.

The Zoo is located approximately one mile north of the T in Gulf Shores on Alabama Hwy 59 on Zoo Lane. If you are headed south on Hwy 59, continue south of Alabama Hwy 180 (The Fort Morgan Road) about one block and the zoo is located on the left side (east) of the hwy in a secluded 17 acre oasis.
